Chapter 24 - Timothy Hoover


Darkness was nothing new to the blind man but silence terrified him. He could see nothing, and now there were no noises to be heard. With growing fear the man and his protectors decided they had to go on. They had to return the secrets.

After feeling their way to the door they slowly exited the cafe, and again found themselves in a dense forest. Mapless, and tired, they trudged on. On and on. From the top of a mountain the wolves caught a glimpse of the village and realized it was only a half-day's walk away. They built a fire, and easily drifted to sleep, not knowing the queen and her men were watching their every breath
